We make every effort to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible during your stay. We provide you with all the conveniences you would expect, including fresh linen, bath and hand towels. However, should you be staying with us for more than a day, it is advisable to bring essential personal items with you.
We provide all our patients with en suite facilities, a nurse call system, radio, television and room safes. Once admitted, you can keep in touch with family, friends and the office with the telephone provided in your room. If you need the use of an internet connection, fax machine, or any other facility, just ask and we will arrange this for you.
Our experienced catering and dietetic teams have created a varied menu to cater for your social, religious and cultural needs. Should your condition and medication permit, we can also provide a fine choice of wines. Please make staff aware of any food allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements you have. Registered Dieticians are available to advise on therapeutic diets during your stay.
To help minimise possible problems for you, your family or carer, you are welcome to visit the Wellington before admission. Also a week or two before admission, our Pre-Assessment Clinic will make sure that you are fit for the operation, give you a clear understanding of your hospital stay, the operation itself and any family support or discharge plans that may need to be prepared.
If you have any worries or doubts about coming into hospital as an In-Patient or a Day Patient, especially at a time when you are probably not feeling at your best, be sure to read our Patient Guide or contact the Enquiry Helpline - 020 7483 5148
