The Endoscopy Unit is a stand alone facility which is situated in the Central Building, adjacent to the Wellington Hospital's South Building at 21 Wellington Road. For further information please see www.thewellingtongiunit.com for full details.
The Endoscopy Unit is able to offer a full range of upper and lower G.I. Endoscopic investigations and treatments, including Endoscopic Ultrasound.
Our two Endoscopy suites are equipped with the very latest in videoscopy technology which provides the operators with high definition image capture, including still photography of procedures undertaken. An integrated patient reporting and audit software system supports all our endoscopy procedures ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Detailed reports, with high definition images are available in a number of formats, within minutes of the procedure.
The unit offers an 8-bedded day care facility. Each patient area has a resting couch and full en-suite shower and toilet providing complete comfort and privacy.

We operate a flexible service in order to meet the needs of our Patients and Consultants. The General Practitioner or Consultant is able to access this service directly, should a patient require an Endoscopic investigation.
The Endoscopy service is available:
Monday - Friday: 08.00-20.00hrs
Saturday: 08.00-14.00hrs.
