Dr Victoria Swale is a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist, working both for the NHS and privately. Dr Swale is proficient in all aspects of dermatology, including acne, hair loss, eczema, warts, psoriasis, hiradenitis supprativa and other skin rashes and lesions. Her specialist interests include skin cancer, moles, lesions, as well as vulval conditions.
Dr Swale carried out her services for the NHS at the Royal Free Hospital, as a core member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team. She is also based at the Royal Hampstead NHS Foundation Trust as a Locum Consultant Dermopathologist. She carries out her private practice at Wellington Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital and the Platinum Medical Centre.
In 2004, Dr Swale graduated with a Doctor of Medicine higher degree from the University of London, for her outstanding research into genetic aspects of skin cancer and moles. In 2005, she was awarded the International Certificate of Dermatopathology. She has widely published in a number of peer-reviewed journals.
Dr Swale is affiliated with a number of distinguished associations and societies. Since 2006, she has been a member of the Dermatology Speciality Question Writing Group for the Royal College of Physicians and was appointed to the Examination Board for Dermatology in 2019. In 2017 and 2019, she took up the role of Senior Judge for the British Association of Dermatologists' Annual Meetings and she is also a core member of the Council for the British Society for the Study of Vulval Diseases.
Outside of her clinical practise, Dr Swale devotes her time to education and sharing her expertise in Dermatology and Pathology. She regularly teaches local GPs based in London and is also frequently invited to speak on numerous national training courses.
