Mr Wilson completed his basic surgical training in Leeds and successfully obtained a PhD as a Medical Research Council Royal College of Surgeons Fellow in Colorectal Cancer (2004). My higher general surgical training was within the North West Thames region (London Deanery).

He completed his specialist Colorectal Fellowships at St Marks Hospital, Harrow, and University College London Hospital, focusing on complex colorectal pathologies, laparoscopic surgery, and contemporary colonoscopy. He was appointed on the 1st August 2011 as a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at the Whittington Hospital, Highgate.

Mr Wilson offers management of suspected colorectal cancer, benign colorectal and anal conditions (polyps diverticular disease Inflammatory Bowel Disease crohns and ulcerative colitis contemporary day-case haemorrhoidectomy stapled and HALO techniques anal fissure and fistula rectal prolapse), and general surgical conditions such as hernias and gall stones.

Mr Wilson is also a JAG-accredited colonoscopist (including endoscopic mucosal resection- EMR).
