Exceptional quality of care

HCA UK is the UK’s most trusted private provider for cardiovascular and thoracic care. Our patient satisfaction scores demonstrate the high quality of our cardiac care, with 98% of our cardiac patients telling us they would recommend our consultants to their friends or family and 95% of patients rating their overall experience of our service as very good or good.2

London Bridge Hospital, The Wellington Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic are all recognised as Centres of Excellence for cardiovascular and thoracic treatment. For three consecutive years, our surgical outcomes for cardiac patients have been above the national average (99.2%, higher than the national average of 96.7%). Our survival rate for all operations has remained greater than 99% for the last eight years.3 This is a direct reflection of our dedicated consultants, cardiac nurses and the staff throughout our hospitals.

Ground-breaking treatments

Our hospitals manage every aspect of care, from the simple to the most complex. We routinely carry out angioplasty procedures and ablations for arrhythmia, in addition to MitraClip insertion and complex aortic surgery. We are able to provide techniques such as minimal access cardiac surgery, which results in less trauma and reduced recovery times than traditional treatments.

Our specialists regularly perform minimally invasive procedures, such as Endoscopic Heart Surgery for mitral and aortic valves and TAVIs, a way to treat aortic stenosis by fitting a valve in the heart. We are proud to perform the most TAVIs in the UK private sector. In 2022 we carried out over 300 TAVIs across our cardiac hospitals.
